Description

  • Design and build LLM-powered applications for internal automation, knowledge retrieval, and workflow assistance.
  • Build and maintain scalable AI integration pipelines between models and internal systems such as HRIS, ticketing, CRM, and knowledge bases.
  • Develop full-stack AI features end to end, including backend orchestration, APIs, and frontend interfaces.
  • Architect and manage CI/CD pipelines for AI systems, including evaluation frameworks, A/B testing, and safe rollout strategies.
  • Implement retrieval-augmented generation and retrieval systems grounded in internal knowledge.
  • Evaluate, benchmark, and fine-tune foundation models for Klaviyo use cases.
  • Define AI engineering best practices, including coding standards, testing frameworks, and architectural patterns.
  • Build observability and monitoring tooling for latency, quality, hallucination detection, costs, and alerts.
  • Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and ML engineers to translate requirements into technical implementations.
  • Drive security, privacy, and compliance practices for AI integrations and sensitive data handling.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years building AI, ML, or LLM-powered systems in production.
  • Deep experience with large language models such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Mistral, or Llama, including API-based integration into production applications.
  • Strong full-stack engineering skills in Python, TypeScript or JavaScript, and modern frontend frameworks.
  • Experience designing and building CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or CircleCI.
  • Experience with RAG systems, vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, or pgvector, and embedding models.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, containerization with Docker and Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.
  • Experience with prompt engineering, model evaluation frameworks, and LLM observability tools such as LangSmith or Weights and Biases.
  • Experience with production-grade deployment, monitoring, and reliability practices for AI or ML systems.
  • Ability to work with privacy, security, bias awareness, and human-in-the-loop AI practices.
  • Up to 10% travel may be required for onboarding, team meetings, client or partner work, and industry events.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $112,000 to $168,000 USD for US locations.
  • Participation in the company’s annual cash bonus plan.
  • Equity may be included in the total compensation package.
