Description

  • Own engineering team onboarding and design a Day 0 through Day 30/60/90 ramp experience for new engineers.
  • Embed AI into daily engineering workflows such as backlog and PR synthesis and incident summaries.
  • Codify how engineering works by building and maintaining living training and documentation for systems, lifecycle, code review, CI/release, and incident practices.
  • Design, pilot, and scale technical learning programs including learning paths, workshops, demos, and lunch-and-learns.
  • Enable engineering manager effectiveness through learning and enablement on planning, execution norms, tooling, metrics, onboarding, and leadership.
  • Lead live learning sessions for engineers and engineering managers and iterate content based on feedback.
  • Define success metrics for onboarding, learning, and productivity initiatives and use data and experimentation to evaluate impact.
  • Partner on onboarding delivery and continuous iteration, including facilitation and maintenance of onboarding materials.
  • Strengthen the recruiting-to-onboarding handoff by aligning competencies, interview assessments, and starter projects.
  • Support engineering culture through tech talks, internal workshops, and communities of practice, and communicate program updates clearly.

Requirements

  • 5–8+ years of experience across software engineering, developer productivity/enablement, platform/dev-tools, or engineering operations.
  • Experience designing onboarding, bootcamps, or developer education programs is a plus.
  • Experience working as an engineer or very closely with engineering teams.
  • Strong understanding of IDEs, Git, CI/CD, and testing.
  • Ability to break down technical systems for others.
  • Clear writer and facilitator who can create clarity, reduce ambiguity, and provide crisp guidance and artifacts.
  • Comfort partnering with engineering leaders, Developer Infrastructure, Product, HRBP, Recruiting/RCs, L&D, and Security.
  • Outcome-oriented mindset with ownership, intensity, urgency, and accountability.
  • Experience measuring and improving developer experience metrics such as review SLAs, CI stability, and environment setup is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD and modern SDLC tooling, with the ability to script or lightly automate workflows.
  • Experience designing learning programs such as labs, guilds, or workshops, and a strong technical writing portfolio.
  • Experience rolling out AI tools internally and establishing responsible-use guardrails.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $160,000 to $240,000 USD.
  • Eligibility for the company’s annual cash bonus plan.
  • Equity may be included in the total compensation package.
  • Sign-on payments may be included.

  • Up to 10% travel may be required for onboarding, team meetings, partner work, or industry events.
