Description

  • Lead the design and evolution of enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure on AWS for a large-scale data platform.
  • Define architectural standards and technical direction for the platform.
  • Ensure infrastructure design aligns with security and compliance requirements.
  • Enable multiple teams to build and operate reliable, scalable data systems.
  • Influence platform direction across organizational boundaries and drive adoption of best practices.
  • Support high-volume data ingestion, processing, and analytics workloads.
  • Provide strategic oversight and hands-on technical leadership for resilient, cost-efficient, and observable systems.
  • Design and operate API gateway, ingress, and service-to-service communication patterns in AWS environments.

Requirements

  • Deep expertise in AWS services such as S3, EKS/ECS, Lambda, RDS, Redshift, IAM, and VPC.
  • Strong experience designing and operating large-scale data platforms, including data lakes, lakehouses, batch systems, and streaming systems.
  • Advanced proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems, scalability, and performance optimization.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration in production environments, including Kubernetes/EKS.
  • Experience designing API gateway, ingress, and service-to-service communication patterns with authentication, authorization, throttling, routing, observability, and security controls.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud security, identity, networking, and compliance frameworks such as ISO and SOC2 (preferred).
  • Experience implementing observability practices such as monitoring, logging, and tracing, along with reliability engineering (preferred).
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Go, or Java (preferred).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and platform engineering for self-service infrastructure (preferred).
