Description

Own and evolve Karat’s AWS SaaS infrastructure for security, scalability, reliability, observability, and cost efficiency.
Design, improve, and operate CI/CD pipelines using CircleCI and related tooling.
Build and maintain observability systems, including metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and actionable alerting.
Apply SRE practices across availability, performance, capacity planning, incident response, root-cause analysis, and operational learning.
Partner with software engineering teams to improve developer experience and establish shared infrastructure and operational practices.
Influence engineering-wide technical decisions and delivery standards through clear communication and practical guidance.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, infrastructure engineering, platform engineering, or a related discipline.
Significant hands-on production experience with AWS.
Experience designing and operating CI/CD systems; CircleCI is strongly preferred, with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI also relevant.
Strong experience with Docker and containerized application environments.
Strong Linux, networking, security, and cloud infrastructure fundamentals.
Practical experience applying SRE principles to production systems, including observability, alerting, incident response, root-cause analysis, and capacity planning.
Experience with an observability platform such as Datadog, New Relic, Dynatrace, Grafana Cloud, or Splunk; Datadog is strongly preferred.
Experience with cloud cost management and optimization.
Strong written and verbal English communication skills and experience collaborating with globally distributed teams.
Must reside in Bengaluru, India, overlap with U.S. business hours, and submit application materials entirely in English.
