Description

  • Serve as the primary customer interface and ensure alignment between mission requirements and K2 Space technology offerings.
  • Shape new business opportunities and program architectures with stakeholders and define program requirements.
  • Lead programs from proposal and contract award through integration, test, launch, and on-orbit operations.
  • Own proposal efforts and ensure technical feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with engineering objectives.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to assess vehicle readiness and manage technical and contractual changes.
  • Mitigate technical and programmatic risks across the full program lifecycle.
  • Lead customer reviews, deliver technical briefings, negotiate requirements, and maintain relationships with government stakeholders.
  • Operate effectively in a fast-paced startup environment with agility, autonomy, and proactive problem-solving.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering or science discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in program management, systems engineering, or operations of government programs.
  • Deep understanding of launch vehicles, spacecraft, or other aerospace systems.
  • Active Top Secret or Top Secret SCI clearance.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Master’s degree or PhD in an engineering or science discipline (preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in program management, project management, systems engineering, or operations (preferred).
  • Experience with spacecraft mission design, development, integration, and/or test (preferred).
  • Experience with management or program leadership (preferred).
  • Experience working in the U.S. national security community as a service member, civil servant, or contractor (preferred).
  • Experience with contracts and contract negotiations (preferred).
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
