Description

  • Develop and optimize machine learning models for parsing, extracting, and categorizing data in PDF tax documents.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate machine learning solutions into software products.
  • Apply statistical analysis to identify signals, trends, and insights that inform product development.
  • Mentor and guide junior data scientists and team members.
  • Support the development of products that improve the accurate and efficient processing of partnership accounting and tax documents.

Requirements

  • Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of relevant industry experience as a data scientist with a focus on NLP/NLU projects.
  • Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end data science project implementations.
  • Proficiency in Python and strong understanding of machine learning frameworks and libraries such as scikit-learn, PyTorch, spaCy, and Hugging Face.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize and communicate complex technical results to senior leaders and nontechnical audiences.
  • Previous experience applying NLP to financial documents is preferred.
  • Familiarity with alternative investment accounting needs is preferred.
  • Experience deploying machine learning models using containerization and orchestration technologies is preferred.
