Description

  • Handle group structure strategy and licensing, including assessing legal, tax, and regulatory implications of business structures and ownership chains.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Support licensing applications for new markets, with a focus on VASP licenses.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts such as client agreements, partnership contracts, vendor agreements, and NDAs.
  • Provide legal advice on complex international contracts and cross-border agreements, including dispute resolution and regulatory adherence.
  • Manage account openings and account maintenance with banks, EMIs, PSPs, and other financial institutions.
  • Conduct due diligence and compliance checks for account applications with financial and crypto institutions.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with financial institutions while ensuring ongoing compliance with their requirements.
  • Identify, assess, and manage legal risks related to multi-asset brokerage and crypto activities.
  • Oversee disputes and litigation, coordinating with external counsel to protect the company’s interests.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Law in international law, corporate law, or finance law.
  • At least 2 years of legal experience focused on international financial services, multi-asset brokerage, and/or VASP.
  • Strong knowledge of international law and multi-jurisdictional compliance.
  • Experience with account openings and relationship management for EMIs, banks, and PSPs.
  • Hands-on crypto licensing experience with MiCA/CASP or VASP, or readiness projects.
  • Experience designing global structures and tax planning with tax advisors.
  • Strong analytical ability, including scenario analysis, timeline and risk calculation, and management recommendations with clear rationale.
  • Confident preparation of regulatory packs and communication with regulatory authorities.
  • Intermediate level of English.
  • Diploma-level professional qualification in Compliance or AML, such as ICA, ACAMS, or CISI, is a plus.
  • Experience with CFD/FX brokers, MiFID II, or payments licensing is a plus.
  • Experience launching offices or entities in different locations and negotiating with regulators is a plus.
