Description

Design and implement test plans, test cases, and test scripts for software products, with emphasis on both automation and manual testing.
Execute tests, analyze results, and report defects, issues, and errors to engineering and product teams.
Troubleshoot and debug software products and recommend improvements.
Review and validate software requirements, specifications, and documentation, and provide feedback.
Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure software quality and functionality throughout the development lifecycle.
Coordinate with product management and product ownership to understand product vision, scope, and features and ensure alignment with quality standards.
Build and maintain test scripts using tools and frameworks such as Playwright and batch files.
Benchmark site performance using metrics such as load testing, response time, and throughput.
Stay current with testing tools, technologies, and best practices and apply them to the testing process.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Proven experience as a QA Engineer, Software Tester, or in a similar software industry role.
Experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, TestNG, JUnit, or Appium.
Experience with testing methodologies including automation, manual, functional, performance, and regression testing.
Knowledge of the software development life cycle, agile methodologies, and quality assurance principles and practices.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly and effectively.
Ability to work closely with Philippine engineers and North American product management and engineering leaders.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
Strong communication, collaboration, documentation, and English verbal and written communication skills.
Test automation experience with Playwright is preferred.
Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#, and scripting languages such as SQL, HTML, or CSS.
Knowledge of software quality metrics such as defect density, defect severity, and test coverage.
Willingness to work Monday to Friday with hours overlapping Central Time, either 3PM to 12 midnight PH time or 5PM to 2AM PH time depending on company needs.
Ability to work from a home office setup conducive to productivity and online collaboration.
Willingness to occasionally report to the Clark office.
