Description

  • Coordinate communications among multiple project managers to align schedules and dependencies.
  • Direct and manage high-priority, enterprise-wide IT projects with strategic importance.
  • Oversee project activities across 8- to 12-month delivery cycles.
  • Coordinate project efforts across multiple agencies.
  • Prepare status reports and recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Make decisions within the authority defined by the Project Charter to mitigate risks.
  • Mentor less experienced project management staff to strengthen their expertise.
  • Manage project life-cycle phases, including plan design, development, testing, and implementation.
  • Develop project plans, milestones, schedules, and task structures based on scope, budget, and resources.
  • Secure stakeholder approval and sign-off on Project Management Plans.
  • Manage project scope and facilitate agreement on required changes.
  • Identify, track, and mitigate project risks through closure.
  • Establish project standards and procedures and ensure compliance.
  • Ensure project tasks align with strategic goals and service commitments.
  • Balance workloads with project team capacity.

Requirements

  • Proven expertise in enterprise-level project management.
  • Strong leadership in cross-functional project coordination and multi-agency collaboration.
  • Experience with strategic IT implementations and business process re-engineering.
  • Proficiency in risk mitigation, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to mentor, negotiate, and lead complex initiatives.
  • Experience managing enhancement, business process re-engineering, or developmental projects.
  • Ability to deliver projects on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with business, technical, and quality requirements.
  • Preferred experience coordinating work across multiple agencies and enterprise environments.
  • Preferred experience supporting high-priority, strategic IT initiatives.
