Description

  • Partner with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, document, and prioritize business and functional requirements.
  • Trace requests across current and legacy systems to identify dependencies, impacts, and existing system behavior.
  • Write user stories, epics, acceptance criteria, and technical requirements for engineering teams.
  • Manage and prioritize product backlogs, lead refinement sessions, and support sprint planning.
  • Break large initiatives into well-defined, deliverable work items.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, QA teams, and product leaders on APIs, integrations, data models, and cloud platforms.
  • Validate technical solutions, reported data, system behavior, and release acceptance criteria, including incomplete or failed records.
  • Communicate requirements, priorities, decisions, and clarifications across business and technical teams.
  • Improve intake workflows, requirements practices, documentation standards, and Agile processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3–6 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or Product Owner.
  • Working SQL proficiency, including joins, aggregates, filtering, data validation, report reconciliation, and discrepancy investigation.
  • Experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria for software development teams.
  • Experience managing and prioritizing Agile/Scrum backlogs.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and software development lifecycles.
  • Ability to facilitate requirements workshops and collaborate directly with engineers and technical teams.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and produce clear documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, critical thinking, and stakeholder-questioning skills.
  • Availability to work in US time zones with at least four hours of daily overlap with US Pacific business hours.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum, APIs, integrations, data modeling, workflow design, cloud and event-driven concepts, SQL, and GitHub Projects.
  • Preferred: Experience with GitHub Issues/Projects, AWS services such as RDS, Lambda, and S3, Slack workflows, SaaS or software product organizations, or certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, CSPO, or PSPO.
