Description

  • Answer incoming calls and assist patients with appointments and general support.
  • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments using the practice management system.
  • Manage patient emails and online inquiries.
  • Verify insurance details and assist with billing queries.
  • Send appointment reminders via phone, SMS, or email.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Provide information on services, procedures, and policies.
  • Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA and data protection standards.
  • Liaise with dental staff to coordinate patient care.
  • Maintain a professional, empathetic approach in all interactions.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a receptionist, customer service, or administrative role within healthcare or dental settings is essential.
  • Familiarity with dental terminology and insurance processes.
  • Experience with EHR systems and scheduling software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards is advantageous.
  • Tech-savvy with virtual communication tools such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach.
  • Availability to work Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm EST.
  • Fixed fibre internet with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps upload and download and wired Ethernet capability is mandatory.
  • Reliable backup power is required to manage load shedding or outages.
