Description

  • Receive and review purchase orders submitted by healthcare facilities before processing them.
  • Check purchase orders for budget compliance, product availability, appropriateness, backorders, and alignment with purchasing trends.
  • Manage tickets for non-catalogue items by communicating with facilities and sourcing required products.
  • Obtain ownership approval for non-catalogue purchases and complete the purchase process.
  • Monitor facility equipment rentals to track usage and prevent misuse.
  • Ensure equipment rentals remain at minimum required levels and coordinate timely returns.
  • Process electronic invoices by matching them to purchase orders and syncing them with accounting software.
  • Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies or mismatches.
  • Support procurement oversight and purchasing operations for LTC and SNF facilities.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of purchasing or procurement processes.
  • Exposure to healthcare facilities, including Long-Term Care (LTC) and Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs).
  • Comfort navigating systems and software.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and Outlook.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
  • Logical judgment and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to think outside the box and apply concepts across scenarios.
  • Fast learner with quick mental processing and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work EST hours Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM EST.
  • Willingness to work on both South African and U.S. public holidays.
  • Fixed fibre internet connection with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps upload and download and support for a wired Ethernet connection.
  • Reliable power backup solution to handle load shedding and power outages.
