Description

  • Execute manual regression test suites across bi-weekly release cycles and validate release candidates.
  • Test new features, existing functionality, smoke flows, feature areas, and onboarding scenarios across the CIM platform.
  • Apply boundary, negative, and edge-case testing to verify data integrity, error handling, and threshold-driven calculations.
  • Test the application across multiple client configurations, environments, and user roles.
  • Log, triage, and track defects in Azure DevOps with clear reproduction steps, screenshots, and test data.
  • Validate bug fixes and perform regression testing on resolved defects.
  • Create, update, and organize test cases and test suites in Azure DevOps.
  • Maintain the Master Test Script List and contribute to Functional, Onboarding, and CIM Smoke Regression suites.
  • Support the development and execution of API and integration test coverage as testing expands.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and the QA Manager to align on priorities, report status, and escalate risks.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in software QA testing or a related testing role.
  • Hands-on experience testing web-based applications manually.
  • Proficiency with Azure DevOps, including Test Plans, work item management, and defect logging.
  • Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail for identifying subtle regressions in data-heavy UIs.
  • Experience writing and maintaining structured test cases and test scripts.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document bugs thoroughly.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision.
  • Comfort querying relational databases with SQL to validate data and end-to-end feature behavior beyond the UI.
  • Familiarity with Agile or Scrum development environments is an asset.
  • Familiarity with pipeline integrity, oil and gas, or regulated infrastructure domains is preferred.
  • Experience testing GIS-based or geospatial features in enterprise applications is preferred.
  • Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman for REST and GraphQL validation is preferred.
  • Experience with data upload/export workflows and template-driven data management is preferred.
  • Experience with Azure App Insights or similar diagnostic and observability tools is preferred.
  • Prior experience on multi-tenant SaaS platforms serving enterprise clients is preferred.
  • Experience using AI/LLM tools such as ChatGPT or Claude to support testing activities is preferred.
  • Familiarity with exploratory testing techniques, including session-based and heuristic-driven approaches, is preferred.
