Description

  • Own backend technical leadership for architecture, code quality, delivery planning, and hands-on implementation for SAR area-based modules.
  • Design and implement REST APIs and service-oriented backend components.
  • Ensure robust observability by logging key operations, including geospatial calculations and user actions.
  • Build production-grade metrics using Prometheus/Grafana or equivalent tools.
  • Drive performance and reliability engineering, including preparation and execution of load and stress testing up to 3,000 simultaneous connections.
  • Align the backend with security and traceability needs, including auditability and immutable action history.
  • Support integrations that rely on GOV.ID, QES, and BankID in coordination with stakeholders providing tokens and certificates.
  • Coordinate technical work with the project working group and contribute to inception-stage business process and technical design outputs.
  • Support delivery and handover activities, including deployment support, documentation, and warranty-period rollout collaboration.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on expertise in C# and .NET, with target experience in .NET 8+ and scalable web backend design.
  • Proven experience building API-first systems using REST, with strong data modeling and transaction integrity practices.
  • Solid experience with relational databases and complex queries, especially PostgreSQL; PostGIS is a nice to have.
  • Fluent understanding of how geospatial data is stored and queried, even if not acting as the DBA.
  • Practical understanding of GIS-related backend needs, including geospatial operations, topology constraints, and format exports, is a nice to have.
  • Familiarity with observability tools and patterns such as Seq, Prometheus, and Grafana or equivalents.
  • Experience planning and executing performance testing, including defining validated load scenarios and running stress tests.
  • Ability to lead engineers through code reviews, engineering standards, mentoring, estimation, risk management, and delivery ownership.
  • Comfort working in a government or regulatory environment with traceability, controlled changes, and formal acceptance processes.
  • Ability to work with Ukrainian-language UI/UX and documentation constraints.
  • Nice to have: experience with geospatial calculations and data integrity checks such as intersection logic, validations, and duplicate checks.
  • Nice to have: familiarity with geospatial libraries such as NetTopologySuite and GDAL.
