Description

  • Oversee general ledger and settlements activities across the energy portfolio to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Drive improvements to the month-end close process to enable faster and more reliable reporting.
  • Evaluate and enhance accounting systems and workflows by leveraging automation and technology to increase efficiency.
  • Perform and oversee internal controls to support compliance and reporting integrity.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop a team of accounting professionals in a collaborative and accountable environment.
  • Provide performance management, training, and ongoing development opportunities for the accounting team.
  • Continuously assess team structure and responsibilities to align with evolving business needs.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support organizational goals and align on financial processes.
  • Lead and contribute to ad hoc projects that support business growth and operational improvements.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on US GAAP and lead technical accounting analyses for complex transactions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • 5–7+ years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in Big 4 public accounting (audit).
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and experience with SOX compliance.
  • Experience managing accounting processes and delivering accurate, timely results.
  • Ability to independently research complex accounting issues and clearly document conclusions.
  • Experience working with G-Suite and strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, SUMIF, and VLOOKUP.
  • Familiarity with accounting systems such as Sage Intacct is helpful.
  • Experience in the energy industry is helpful.
  • CPA or a Master’s degree in Accounting is helpful.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.

  • Total compensation of $185,000–$195,000 USD, including base salary and bonus.
