Description

  • Lead the operational accounting team responsible for accounting activities across Intersect’s energy portfolio.
  • Mentor, develop, and manage team members through coaching, training, performance management, and career development.
  • Oversee general ledger activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial information.
  • Consolidate and improve month-end close processes to support faster and more accurate reporting.
  • Partner across Finance, Legal, People Operations, Development, Asset Management, and Executive Leadership to support business decisions and financial transparency.
  • Perform and support internal control activities to strengthen financial reporting and compliance.
  • Evaluate accounting processes, workflows, and systems to identify improvement opportunities and implement scalable solutions.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on U.S. GAAP and technical accounting matters for complex and non-routine transactions.
  • Research, analyze, and document accounting conclusions and prepare technical memoranda and supporting documentation.
  • Support annual audit activities and work with external auditors to maintain compliance and consistent accounting policy application.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5–7+ years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years in Big Four public accounting audit.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, technical accounting research, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Experience supporting SOX compliance and internal control environments.
  • Ability to evaluate complex accounting issues, develop recommendations, and document conclusions effectively.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and intermediate Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and SUMIF functions.
  • CPA and/or Master’s degree in Accounting preferred.
  • Experience with Sage Intacct preferred.
  • Experience in the energy, infrastructure, or power generation industry preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply technical accounting guidance to complex business transactions preferred.
  • Collaborative, detail-oriented, adaptable, and proactive problem-solving approach preferred.

  • Total compensation of $156,000 - $169,000, including base salary and bonus.
