Description

  • Lead and oversee development and real estate legal matters for project finance and M&A transactions.
  • Manage due diligence inquiries and development and real estate closing deliverables.
  • Review title commitments, proformas, policies, and surveys, and supervise title curative work.
  • Advise development teams on project design, site control, permitting, regulatory, real estate, and interconnection matters.
  • Draft and administer site-access policies and processes for company projects.
  • Coordinate with Google energy and real estate attorneys on development and real estate issues.
  • Advise executives, risk committees, external stakeholders, and third parties on transactions and key contracts.
  • Manage and develop in-house legal teams and outside counsel supporting transactions and negotiations.
  • Contribute to broader legal team projects as needed.

Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and current license to practice law.
  • Experience negotiating agreements in the renewable energy industry.
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and advise internal business partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently, perform under pressure, and complete tasks promptly.
  • Prior experience managing lawyers and paralegals.
  • Entrepreneurial, solution-oriented approach to development and project support.
  • Located within 60 miles of an Intersect hub: SF Bay Area, NYC Metro Area, Denver, Austin, Calgary, or Toronto.

  • Total compensation of $420,000–$440,000, including base salary and bonus.
