Description

  • Provide direct triage support to patients and families by phone as the first point of clinical contact.
  • Assess incoming calls, document interactions, and follow client protocols while maintaining patient care as the top priority.
  • Work assigned weekday shifts and required weekend rotations, including both Saturday and Sunday on scheduled weekends.
  • Complete shift preparation before taking calls and remain on duty until all required charting is finished.
  • Support nights and weekends for clients’ nursing staffs and help cover periods when they need additional triage support.
  • Follow verbal and written instructions while using remote call center technology and multiple applications during calls.
  • Participate in a 3-week remote training and ongoing in-services or additional training as needed.
  • Maintain active licensure and remain in good standing with licensing and CEU requirements.
  • Optionally pick up additional shifts when available for clients the nurse is trained to support.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as an RN.
  • Minimum 2 years as a nurse.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a fast-paced environment such as ED, Critical Care, Surgical Services, or Med/Surg.
  • Must have or be willing to obtain a Compact RN license.
  • Must live and work in a Compact U.S. state; states with pending legislation do not count as current compacts.
  • Must physically reside in the U.S. and be legally eligible to work for any employer.
  • Must be available to work 2 out of every 3 weekends, including Saturday and Sunday.
  • Must be available for required holidays on a rotating basis.
  • Must be able to complete the 3-week remote orientation and training schedule.
  • Must have high-speed internet with fiberoptic or coaxial cable service; Wi‑Fi is not compatible.
  • Must be able to connect the provided laptop directly to a modem.
  • Must have a quiet, private home office space that is HIPAA-compliant.
  • Must be comfortable with technology, multiple remote applications, and typing.
  • Must be able to communicate in English; additional languages are a bonus.
  • Must be able to handle stress, multitask, and manage a high call volume.
  • Must be able to communicate with empathy while following client protocols.
  • Must pass a background check and nurse licensing check.
  • Must maintain required CEUs and attend in-services or additional training as needed.
