Description

  • Provide telephone triage support for hospice patients and their families after hours.
  • Assess patient conditions and determine appropriate next steps in care.
  • Collaborate with on-call teams to coordinate care and resources.
  • Accurately document calls, communications, and interventions in the EMR.
  • Maintain a calm, professional, and empathetic demeanor during urgent calls.
  • Support timely patient care coordination for hospice services.
  • Work independently in a remote environment while following client-customized protocols.

Requirements

  • Active multistate Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Hospice, palliative, or end-of-life care experience is strongly preferred.
  • Comfortable using technology and electronic medical records (EMR) for documentation.
  • Ability to type documentation and notes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to handle stress and multitask while managing a high call volume, including a minimum of 5 calls per hour on weekdays and up to 8 per hour on weekends.
  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Consistent attendance, active communication, and reliable internet connectivity during all scheduled shifts.
  • Comfort with remote work and after-hours scheduling.

Benefits

  • Base pay of $27 per hour once trained, with potential to earn up to $30 per hour within the first 6 months.
  • $2 shift differential for overnight shifts and $2 shift differential for weekend shifts (Friday evening, Saturday, and Sunday).
  • 3 weeks of paid remote training.
