Description

  • Provide telephone triage support for hospice patients and their families after hours.
  • Assess patient conditions and determine the appropriate next steps for care.
  • Coordinate with on-call teams to support timely interventions and resources.
  • Document all calls, communications, and interventions accurately in the EMR.
  • Maintain a calm, professional, and empathetic demeanor during urgent calls.
  • Support patient and family needs with compassion and professionalism over the phone.
  • Work independently while maintaining active communication with the remote care team.

Requirements

  • Active multistate Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Hospice, palliative, or end-of-life care experience strongly preferred.
  • Comfortable using technology and electronic medical records (EMR) for documentation.
  • Able to type documentation and notes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to handle stress and multitask while receiving calls.
  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Consistent attendance and reliable internet connectivity required for all scheduled shifts.
  • Availability to support timely patient care coordination during scheduled remote shifts.

Benefits

  • Base pay of $25 per hour, with potential to earn up to $28 per hour within the first 6 months.
  • $2 shift differential for overnight shifts.
  • $2 shift differential for weekend shifts (Friday evening, Saturday, and Sunday).
  • 3 weeks of paid remote training.
  • PTO accrual for part-time and full-time nurses based on hours worked.
  • 401(k) plan eligibility for part-time and full-time nurses.
