Description

  • Provide telephone triage for hospice patients and families after hours.
  • Assess patient needs and determine the appropriate next steps in care.
  • Coordinate with on-call teams to support care delivery and resource needs.
  • Document calls, communications, and interventions accurately in the EMR.
  • Maintain a calm, professional, and empathetic demeanor during urgent calls.
  • Support timely patient care coordination in a remote setting.

Requirements

  • Active multistate Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Hospice, palliative, or end-of-life care experience strongly preferred.
  • Comfort using technology and electronic medical records (EMR) for documentation.
  • Ability to type notes and document efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle stress and multitask while managing at least 5 calls per hour on weekdays and up to 8 per hour on weekends.
  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Consistent attendance, active communication, and reliable internet connectivity during all scheduled shifts.
  • After-hours availability for a remote triage role.

Benefits

  • Base pay of $25 per hour, with potential to earn up to $28 per hour within the first 6 months.
  • $2 overnight shift differential.
  • $2 weekend shift differential for Friday evening, Saturday, and Sunday shifts.
  • 3 weeks of paid remote training.
  • Paid time off accrual for part-time and full-time nurses.
