Description

  • Provide telephone triage for hospice patients and families after hours.
  • Assess patient conditions and determine the appropriate next steps for care.
  • Coordinate with on-call teams to support timely interventions and resources.
  • Document calls, communications, and interventions accurately in the EMR.
  • Maintain a calm, professional, and empathetic demeanor during urgent calls.
  • Support patient-centered care delivery for hospice services during non-core hours.
  • Work independently while maintaining active communication with the remote team.
  • Handle a fast-paced call volume and multitask effectively during shifts.

Requirements

  • Active multistate Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Hospice, palliative, or end-of-life care experience is strongly preferred.
  • Comfortable using technology and electronic medical records (EMR) for documentation.
  • Able to type documentation and notes accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to manage stress and multitask while receiving at least 5 calls per hour on weekdays and up to 8 per hour on weekends.
  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Requires consistent attendance, active communication, and reliable internet connectivity during all scheduled shifts.

  • Base pay of $25 per hour after training, with potential to earn up to $28 per hour within the first 6 months.
  • $1 shift differential for overnight shifts.
  • $1 shift differential for weekend shifts (Friday evening, Saturday, and Sunday).
  • 3 weeks of paid remote training.
