Description

  • Own key portions of Instacart Ads revenue initiatives, including planning, forecasting, deal approvals, and resource investment decisions.
  • Partner with Ads Product, Carrot Ads, and the enterprise SaaS team to translate strategy into measurable financial outcomes and revenue-driving actions.
  • Design and implement financial processes and dashboards using internal data and KPIs to monitor performance and automate recurring reporting.
  • Build monthly and quarterly leadership materials, including forecast updates, variance analyses, and board and investor review content.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial modeling and deep dives on topics such as SaaS performance, pricing and packaging, cohort performance, and attribution.
  • Self-serve and analyze data using SQL when needed to support analyses and decision-making.
  • Deliver crisp, executive-ready narratives and present insights to cross-functional and senior stakeholders.
  • Support broader strategic finance initiatives that connect business strategy to financial outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in strategic finance at a high-growth technology company, investment banking, or consulting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including driver-based financial models, cohort analyses, and scenario/sensitivity modeling.
  • Experience building revenue forecasts and translating KPIs into financial outcomes for an operating business.
  • Proven ability to create executive-ready materials and present insights to cross-functional and senior audiences.
  • Intermediate SQL skills, including joins and window functions, and experience working with large datasets.
  • Familiarity with Looker or Tableau.
  • Experience in digital advertising, ad tech, e-commerce media, or SaaS monetization models.
  • Experience preparing materials for board and investor audiences.
  • Ability to support West Coast business hours in a distributed, remote environment.
  • Self-starter with a collaborative, low-ego approach and the ability to thrive in fast-changing environments.

  • Base salary range of CAD $104,000 to $109,500 for Canadian candidates.
