Description

  • Own topline forecasting for Instacart’s Core grocery business using driver-based models tied to business performance and operational levers.
  • Lead deep dives into revenue and unit economics to identify growth opportunities, surface risks, and recommend experiments.
  • Partner with Product, Marketing, Business Development, and Data Science to align assumptions, improve data quality, and operationalize insights.
  • Develop executive-ready materials such as narrative memos, dashboards, and scenario and sensitivity analyses for senior leadership.
  • Own initiative reporting across marketing, product, and enterprise programs and standardize measurement and impact tracking.
  • Support investor relations, Board materials, and company-wide planning through collaboration with other Strategic Finance teams.
  • Continuously refine and automate models and reporting to improve speed, accuracy, and decision-making.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in strategic finance, FP&A, investment banking, or management consulting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including driver-based financial models, revenue forecasts, and scenario and sensitivity analyses.
  • Experience preparing and presenting executive-ready materials to VP- or C-suite stakeholders.
  • Track record of owning end-to-end forecasting and performance reporting for a product line, business segment, or revenue stream.
  • Experience in a two-sided marketplace or consumer internet business such as on-demand, e-commerce, advertising, or subscription models (preferred).
  • Proficiency with SQL for self-serve analysis and familiarity with BI tools such as Looker or Tableau (preferred).
  • Experience partnering cross-functionally to define metrics, align assumptions, evaluate experiments, and operationalize insights (preferred).
  • Background creating materials for Board meetings, investor relations, and quarterly or monthly business reviews in a high-growth environment (preferred).
  • MBA, CFA, or other relevant advanced credential (preferred).
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across time zones and align to West Coast hours when needed (preferred).

  • Canadian base pay range of $126,000–$133,000 CAD.
