Description

  • Own and improve core design system infrastructure, including repositories, publishing workflows, and component playgrounds such as Storybook.
  • Evolve semantic and primitive token workflows, theming strategies, and token distribution into product codebases.
  • Reduce design system drift by strengthening design-to-code feedback loops and contribution workflows.
  • Contribute to component implementations with maintainable patterns, scalable architecture, accessibility defaults, and cross-platform consistency.
  • Build internal tools such as Figma plugins, scripts, generators, CI checks, lint rules, and automated quality gates.
  • Model system guidance in structured formats to power checks, in-tool guidance, and automation.
  • Measure adoption and quality, identify recurring sources of rework, and iterate on tooling and standards based on usage.
  • Use AI-assisted workflows to accelerate audits, migrations, script generation, change summaries, and automated fixes with strong review and security practices.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience across product design and/or front-end engineering, including shipping and maintaining a design system used by multiple product teams.
  • A portfolio demonstrating design systems mastery and cross-platform consistency; a portfolio link is required.
  • Advanced proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and a modern front-end framework such as React.
  • Experience delivering internal tools such as Figma plugins, scripts, CLIs, or CI automations with testing and maintainability considerations.
  • Strong Figma systems expertise, including component architecture, variants/props strategy, naming conventions, library structure, and publishing/versioning.
  • Strong understanding of design tokens, including semantic versus primitive tokens, theming, density, and mapping token decisions to UI intent.
  • Ability to reason about component UX, including anatomy, states, edge cases, responsive behavior, motion, and accessibility defaults.
  • Hands-on experience working in shared component codebases or monorepos with multi-team contribution models.
  • Demonstrated use of AI-assisted development or design workflows with appropriate judgment, review, and security considerations.
  • Experience driving system adoption through metrics, deprecation and migration programs, and cross-functional enablement.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Preferred: Experience developing and shipping Figma plugins.
  • Preferred: Experience with AI-assisted coding environments such as Cursor or Claude Code and prompt-driven automation.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with token pipelines and tooling such as CSS variables, Style Dictionary, or equivalent.
  • Preferred: Experience with Storybook or equivalent docs and playground infrastructure.
  • Preferred: Experience with visual regression testing and UI QA automation.
  • Preferred: Deep accessibility expertise applied through scalable guardrails, linters, and automation.
  • Preferred: Experience with native UI frameworks such as SwiftUI and/or Jetpack Compose.
  • Preferred: Fluency across the end-to-end product design process from discovery and ideation through prototyping and validation.
