Description

  • Build and customize Shopify Plus 2.0 themes from scratch using the Dawn base theme and Liquid.
  • Translate Figma designs into pixel-perfect Shopify storefronts, templates, and landing pages.
  • Optimize storefront performance against Google Core Web Vitals benchmarks.
  • Configure GA4, Google Ads tracking, and GTM within Shopify and Shopify Checkout.
  • Manage Shopify Plus admin settings including discounts, shipping rules, scripts, and functions.
  • Customize Shopify Plus Checkout using Checkout Extensibility and Functions.
  • Build custom collection filters using Tags, Metafields, and Metaobjects.
  • Implement and configure advanced Shopify apps such as ReBuy, Yotpo, and SYWM.
  • Create SEO-optimized page templates with proper heading structure, canonical tags, and noindex logic.
  • Implement ADA-compliant fixes and templates based on project direction.
  • Communicate technical decisions clearly with clients, project managers, and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Manage code in a multi-developer agency environment using GitHub and collaborate across Slack, Gmail, and ClickUp.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of Shopify Plus development experience for DTC brands.
  • Experience with brands in the $10M–$50M revenue range is strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience building and owning Shopify Plus 2.0 themes from the ground up.
  • GitHub-based theme version control experience in an agency environment.
  • Prior experience at a Shopify-focused development agency.
  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills, with testing during the hiring process.
  • Ability to explain code and technical decisions clearly and concisely to non-developers.
  • Comfortable presenting work on live client calls without a script.
  • Available during US business hours, with EST/CST/MST preferred and PST coverage from 8am–5pm ideal.
  • Active, daily use of AI coding tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude, or equivalent.
  • Ability to demonstrate how AI tools improve Shopify workflow, including theme scaffolding, code review, debugging, and documentation.
  • Willingness to use AI tools to increase output quality and delivery speed while maintaining strong fundamentals.
  • Willingness to complete identity verification, LinkedIn verification, and reference checks during hiring.
