Description

  • Translate business requirements into scalable financial data models and insights.
  • Own ambiguous data initiatives end-to-end from definition through delivery.
  • Design and automate dashboards, models, and reporting systems that support decision-making.
  • Build and maintain data products for the Revenue Accounting organization, including revenue recognition logic.
  • Apply compliance-first design principles to support SOX, audit readiness, and data governance.
  • Implement validation, monitoring, and reconciliation frameworks to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
  • Identify and drive process improvements, automation, and system enhancements across Finance and Accounting.
  • Use AI and modern analytics tools to improve how financial data is modeled, automated, and delivered.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics or analytics engineering roles, with 7+ years preferred.
  • Strong SQL and cloud data fundamentals.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake, dbt, and BI tools such as Mode, Looker, or Tableau.
  • Experience building and supporting complex data pipelines with an emphasis on accuracy, compliance, and traceability.
  • Familiarity with financial data structures, accounting processes, and enterprise systems such as Oracle, Workday, Salesforce, or Adaptive.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Public company experience with exposure to SOX compliance preferred.
  • Experience in high-growth technology environments preferred.
  • Experience implementing large-scale financial or operational systems such as ERP or enterprise data platforms preferred.
  • Project management experience preferred.
  • Cloud cost management experience, ideally in AWS, preferred.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML applications in data analytics, such as natural language SQL tools, forecasting models, or anomaly detection frameworks, preferred.

Benefits

  • Remote Flex First work arrangement with flexibility to work from home, an office, or another location.
  • Highly market-competitive compensation.
  • Base salary range of $157,000-$165,500 in CA, NY, CT, and NJ; $150,000-$158,500 in WA; $144,000-$152,000 in several other listed states; and $131,000-$138,000 in all other states.
  • Eligibility for a new hire equity grant.
  • Eligibility for annual refresh equity grants.
  • Access to Instacart benefits offerings.
