Description

  • Assess the e-commerce technology landscape in target international markets to position Instacart’s competitive value proposition
  • Canvas international markets to identify, source, evaluate, and prioritize high‑potential retailer targets using data and market insights
  • Identify key contacts at retail targets and execute targeted sales outreach and relationship building
  • Craft compelling, tailored sales narratives and create visually appealing sales collateral for senior audiences
  • Support end-to-end pitch processes with international retailers, including deal negotiation and contract discussions
  • Communicate technical and business requirements needed to support international opportunities and align internal capabilities
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Product, Marketing, Legal, Account Management, Finance, and Partnerships to align roadmaps and partner requirements
  • Track, manage, and report pipeline performance and key sales metrics to Instacart leadership
  • Expect and plan for frequent international travel to support sales and partnership activities

Requirements

  • 7–10 years of experience in e‑commerce sales, business development, partnerships, or related field with a track record of closing deals and navigating cross‑functional dynamics (grocery and/or international markets highly preferred)
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in market analysis and competitive intelligence
  • Proven communicator and relationship builder comfortable with frequent customer engagements and ambiguity
  • Deep understanding of e‑commerce strategy and ability to craft clear value propositions and sales narratives
  • Proficiency in creating visually appealing selling collateral for senior stakeholders
  • Demonstrated problem‑solving skills, resilience, and ability to navigate complex challenges
  • Ability to take initiative, work autonomously, and operate effectively on lean teams
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally frequently
  • MBA (preferred)

  • US base pay ranges provided (examples by location): $161,000–$170,000 (CA/NY/CT/NJ); $155,000–$163,500 (WA); $148,000–$156,000 (OR/DE/ME/MA/MD/NH/RI/VT/DC/PA/VA/CO/TX/IL/HI); $134,000–$141,500 (all other states)
