Description

  • Guide prospective medical students in strengthening their applicant profiles and preparing application materials.
  • Manage relationships with applicants and families while providing admissions strategy and tactical guidance.
  • Advise students on medical school selection, essays, resumes, recommendations, and interviews.
  • Identify medical programs that align with each student's background, goals, and qualifications.
  • Provide feedback on students' school research and use of admissions resources.
  • Support project planning, application timeline management, and progress tracking through internal tools.
  • Stay current on medical school admissions processes and program requirements to advise clients effectively.

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree.
  • Experience serving on a medical school admissions committee or board, including reviewing applications and making acceptance or rejection decisions.
  • 5–7 years of experience in education, coaching, tutoring, and/or medical school admissions consulting.
  • Passion for coaching and mentoring prospective medical students.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Strong English reading, writing, and editing skills, especially for medical school essays and personal statements.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with applicant tracking.
