Description

  • Mentor pre-med students from topic selection and research-question development through study design, execution, and final deliverables.
  • Help students develop feasible, high-quality research questions aligned with their academic and medical career goals.
  • Review research plans, data interpretation, and written drafts, providing structured feedback.
  • Teach research methodologies, academic research standards, and discipline-specific expectations.
  • Support students in producing academic papers, research posters, or journal submissions, as applicable.
  • Track student progress against project milestones and timelines.

Requirements

  • MD and/or PhD in medicine, biomedical sciences, psychology, public health, or a related field.
  • Experience conducting academic or clinical research.
  • Strong background in research design, data analysis, and academic writing.
  • Experience mentoring students or trainees.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong planning, organization, and project-management skills.
  • Interest in mentoring undergraduate pre-med students and supporting their academic and professional development.
  • Based in the United States or Canada.
  • Available to work as a part-time, remote 1099 independent contractor.
