Description

  • Lead technical discovery, clarify requirements, and map current-state to target-state architectures.
  • Produce concise architecture documentation, including diagrams, ADRs, and integration contracts.
  • Define service boundaries, APIs, data models, and cloud infrastructure designs.
  • Review code and pull requests when needed to support solution quality.
  • Set non-functional requirements for security, performance, reliability, and cost.
  • Unblock delivery teams, run technical spikes, and own critical implementation decisions.
  • Run client workshops, present technical trade-offs, and translate technology decisions into business outcomes.
  • Keep solutions aligned with internal standards, security requirements, and budget constraints.
  • Raise risks early and present options to stakeholders.
  • Shape solution approaches, estimates, and proposal content for RFP/RFI/RFQ responses and client presentations.

Requirements

  • 6–10+ years of experience in software engineering or architecture.
  • 2–4+ years of experience as a Solution Architect, Systems Architect, or Tech Lead.
  • Experience with at least one modern backend language such as Java, Node.js, Python, or .NET.
  • Experience with at least one SPA framework.
  • Experience designing APIs, integrations, and data models.
  • Experience architecting solutions on at least one cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Comfort with infrastructure as code, CI/CD, observability, and cost/performance trade-offs.
  • Experience with monolithic, modular, distributed, service-based, or microservices architectures.
  • Practical knowledge of relational and NoSQL data modeling, ETL/ELT patterns, and analytics platforms such as warehouses or lakes.
  • Strong written communication, diagramming, and client facilitation skills.
  • Preferred: pre-sales experience with RFP/RFI/RFQ writing, scoping, estimation, or SOW inputs.
  • Preferred: experience with DevSecOps, cost optimization, and performance tuning.
  • Preferred: exposure to AI/ML or search/RAG integrations and data governance/quality.
  • Preferred: experience leading small squads and mentoring engineers or architects.
