Description

  • Design and deliver ongoing education programs on value-based care policy, model requirements, and program updates for customers.
  • Translate federal register notices, CMMI guidance, and policy changes into practical operational guidance and customer-facing materials.
  • Analyze CMS and CMMI policy developments and assess their impact on ACO and provider customers.
  • Brief customers and internal stakeholders on proposed rules, final rules, model updates, and programmatic changes affecting participation, reporting, and benchmarks.
  • Represent Innovaccer in CMS and other federal healthcare stakeholder engagement opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with CMS and HHS program leaders and facilitate feedback between customers and policy leaders.
  • Support customers through model application processes and ongoing program requirements.
  • Track and report on customer model participation and results as a key success metric.
  • Identify customers who could benefit from model participation and support their enrollment journey.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in healthcare policy with deep knowledge of CMS value-based care programs and CMMI models.
  • Direct experience with ACO operations, model participation, or CMS program implementation.
  • Track record of translating complex policy into accessible education and guidance.
  • Existing relationships with CMS/CMMI staff or demonstrated ability to build federal relationships.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including comfort presenting to executives and operational staff.
  • Experience designing and delivering training or education programs.
  • Familiarity with the operational realities of ACOs, health systems, or provider organizations participating in value-based arrangements.
  • Previous CMS, HHS, or congressional health staff experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working at the CMS Innovation Center on accountable care models is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with accountable care models from the provider or health system side is preferred.
