Description

  • Administer GitLab Self-Managed and Dedicated environments, including installation, upgrades, backup and restore, access management, runners, Geo replication, and performance tuning.
  • Lead enterprise migrations from GitHub, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and SVN using Congregate, direct transfer, and GitLab reference architectures.
  • Design, implement, and optimize enterprise CI/CD pipelines with security scanning and compliance framework integration.
  • Configure and deploy GitLab Duo Agent Platform agents and flows, and advise customers on AI governance and adoption.
  • Deliver customer-facing workshops, documentation, knowledge transfer, cutovers, and secure-environment deployments.
  • Manage work within defined statements of work, including scoping, estimating, scheduling, and delivery.
  • Collaborate with GitLab Professional Services teams and lead customer engagements.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of hands-on DevOps or platform engineering experience.
  • Production experience administering GitLab Self-Managed or Dedicated.
  • Experience designing, operating, and troubleshooting enterprise-scale CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong consulting, written communication, verbal communication, and customer meeting leadership skills.
  • Ability to work within defined project scopes and deliverables.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites, workshops, cutovers, and secure facilities as needed.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance held directly by the candidate at application; Top Secret is highly preferred.
  • GitLab certification, such as Certified Associate, Professional, or Services Engineer (preferred).
  • Production experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS, GCP, or Azure in DevSecOps environments (preferred).
  • Experience with federal, defense, or intelligence programs; GitLab Duo/DAP, agentic AI, security scanning, STIG, or cATO frameworks (preferred).
