Description

  • Lead and manage daily accounting operations, including general ledger activity, reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries in compliance with US GAAP.
  • Oversee full-cycle accounts receivable and accounts payable processes and support accurate cash flow management.
  • Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including timelines, deliverables, and hands-on closing tasks as needed.
  • Prepare, review, and ensure accuracy of financial statements and management reporting.
  • Lead accounting integration for acquired companies, including NetSuite migrations and alignment of accounting policies, processes, and controls.
  • Partner with Client Success and Operations to define and operationalize revenue recognition practices in compliance with ASC 606.
  • Oversee revenue recording, contract reviews, revenue schedules, and system configurations for usage-based and subscription billing models.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and coordinate audit activities.
  • Partner with external tax advisors to ensure federal, state, and local filings are completed accurately and on time.
  • Own banking and treasury management, support insurance renewals and claims, and improve internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team members while collaborating with the CFO and Director of Finance on budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and strategic planning.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support operational decision-making, financial transparency, and automation of accounting processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar field.
  • CPA required.
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a senior, lead, or management role.
  • SaaS industry experience required.
  • Experience in private equity-backed environments strongly preferred.
  • Strong command of US GAAP, including application to routine and complex transactions.
  • Expertise in SaaS revenue recognition and large, complex, multi-year services projects.
  • Advanced proficiency with ERP systems, with NetSuite highly preferred.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Experience automating manual processes and incorporating AI to improve department efficiency.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work hands-on while maintaining strategic oversight.
  • Experience upgrading accounting processes, systems, or policies in a high-growth environment is preferred.
  • A leadership style that emphasizes mentorship by working alongside the team on deliverables is preferred.
  • Track record of building or scaling accounting operations in a SaaS organization is preferred.
