Description

  • Work through the end-to-end UX design and UX research process for a chosen startup idea from 0-1.
  • Lead product and feature scoping and manage the entire project lifecycle for your startup idea.
  • Identify target market and position the product for launch, and develop a scalable business model.
  • Plan and run discovery research: manage user recruitment, create research plans and interview guides, conduct 8–16 discovery interviews, and synthesize insights.
  • Create and present a UX design and business pitch using qualitative and quantitative evidence to justify the problem and solution.
  • Produce user storytelling artifacts such as user types, personas, stakeholder maps, journey maps, process maps, and service blueprints.
  • Design visual deliverables including ideation matrices, sketches, wireframes, UX workflows, prototypes, and a custom design system (components, style guide, branding).
  • Lead user testing of wireframes and prototypes, iterate on usability, and refine the solution based on feedback.
  • Analyze direct and indirect competitors to articulate product differentiators and innovation potential.
  • Consult with startups to create scopes of work and deliver UX research, UX design, product design, and service design work according to scope.

Requirements

  • Open to new graduates and career changers interested in UX research, UX design, product design, or service design.
  • Willing to commit 5–10 hours per week to complete program deliverables.
  • Willing to attend 2–3 hour weekend lectures OR complete online video course modules.
  • Open to receiving feedback from mentors and demonstrates willingness to revise design work.
  • Ability to lead user recruitment and conduct 8–16 discovery interviews as part of research activities.
  • Submit an application with a LinkedIn profile and resume and answer why you are interested (no UX resume or portfolio required).
  • Program runs for 7 months and is remote/online; applicants are considered on a rolling basis and will be contacted for interview if shortlisted.
  • Applicants should expect that parts of the hiring process may use AI tools to assist review; final decisions are made by humans.
