Description

  • Work through the end-to-end UX design and UX research process for a startup idea of your choice.
  • Lead product scoping, feature scoping, and overall project management for the chosen concept.
  • Identify the target market and position the product for launch success.
  • Develop a business model and explain how the product or service can scale.
  • Plan and conduct discovery research, including recruitment, research planning, interview guides, and 8-16 user interviews.
  • Synthesize interview findings and use qualitative and quantitative data to support the problem and solution.
  • Create UX artifacts such as personas, stakeholder maps, journey maps, process maps, service blueprints, sketches, wireframes, prototypes, and workflows.
  • Lead user testing of wireframes and prototypes and iterate on the solution based on feedback.
  • Design a unique design system, including components, style guide, and branding.
  • Analyze direct and indirect competitors and articulate the solution’s differentiators.
  • Consult with startups and deliver UX research, UX design, product design, and service design work based on a scope of work.

Requirements

  • Open to new grads and UX career changers.
  • Interested in creative career paths in UX research, UX design, product design, or service design.
  • Willing to commit 5-10 hours of work per week to program deliverables.
  • Willing to attend 2-3 hour weekend lectures or complete online video course modules.
  • Open to feedback from UX mentors and willing to revise design work.
  • Able to participate remotely from anywhere in the world.
  • Able to submit a LinkedIn profile and resume as part of the application.
  • No UX resume or portfolio is required to apply.
  • Ability to complete a brief interview process if selected.
  • Applicants are reviewed on a rolling basis, and those not contacted within 2 months should assume their application is closed.
