Description

  • Complete end-to-end UX design and UX research work for a startup idea of your choice.
  • Lead product scoping, feature scoping, and project management for the chosen concept.
  • Identify the target market and position the product for launch success.
  • Develop a business model and consider how the product or service scales with the business.
  • Plan and conduct discovery research, including user recruitment, research plans, interview guides, and 8-16 interviews.
  • Synthesize research findings into actionable insights and present qualitative and quantitative justification for the problem and solution.
  • Create UX storytelling and visual deliverables such as personas, stakeholder maps, journey maps, service blueprints, sketches, wireframes, prototypes, and workflows.
  • Lead usability testing on wireframes and prototypes and iterate based on feedback.
  • Design a unique design system from scratch, including components, style guide, and branding.
  • Analyze competitors and consult with startups to deliver UX research, UX design, product design, or service design work.

Requirements

  • Open to new grads and UX career changers.
  • Interest in UX research, UX design, product design, or service design.
  • Ability to commit 5-10 hours per week to program deliverables.
  • Willingness to attend 2-3 hour weekend lectures or complete online video modules.
  • Openness to feedback from UX mentors and willingness to revise work.
  • Must submit a resume with the application.
  • No UX resume or portfolio required to apply.
  • Must be available to complete a brief interview process if selected.
  • Applicants should be comfortable applying without prior UX experience.
  • Application is reviewed on a rolling basis, and candidates not contacted within 2 months should consider the application closed.
