Description

  • Develop, update, and maintain project schedules on a weekly basis.
  • Validate MS Project schedules against current commitments and resource availability with the VA Program Manager and stakeholders.
  • Identify schedule tasks that need to be integrated into larger Integrated Master Schedules (IMS).
  • Coordinate schedule updates with teams maintaining CCN NG and VFMP modernization IMS efforts.
  • Develop macros for MS Project to streamline scheduling and reduce errors.
  • Identify and document dependencies between project schedules and update impacted schedules accordingly.
  • Recommend mitigation strategies for high-risk milestones.
  • Consolidate weekly schedule updates into structured reports for VA PMO leadership.
  • Provide monthly status updates on schedule progress, blockers, and recommended resolutions to VA PMO leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Health, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in project scheduling for large-scale IT or healthcare programs.
  • Expertise in MS Project for schedule development and maintenance.
  • Experience integrating schedules into an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
  • Experience supporting Agile cadence for development, testing, and release.
  • Knowledge of both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Over 4 years of experience in project scheduling for large-scale IT or healthcare programs (preferred).
  • Previous experience working with federal clients such as the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA), Defense Health Agency (DHA), or Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) (preferred).
  • Familiarity with VA or federal program scheduling standards (preferred).
  • Experience working in a large healthcare organization such as a hospital, health system, or health insurance company (preferred).
