Description

  • Develop and own data-driven SEO strategies tailored to each client’s e-commerce goals.
  • Manage multiple client accounts and take full responsibility for strategy, execution, and outcomes.
  • Conduct keyword research, competitive analysis, technical audits, and content planning to support organic growth.
  • Implement on-page, technical, and off-page SEO improvements across client websites.
  • Optimize product pages, category structures, internal linking, and site architecture for large e-commerce catalogs.
  • Collaborate with developers, designers, marketers, and the Marketing Manager to ensure recommendations are implemented correctly.
  • Adapt SEO strategies for evolving search environments, including LLM-powered search, AEO, and GEO.
  • Proactively identify SEO risks, technical issues, and growth opportunities before they affect performance.
  • Monitor performance using analytics and SEO tools and refine strategies based on data and results.
  • Prepare clear reports, recommendations, and documentation for clients and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Approximately 4 to 5 years of hands-on SEO experience focused on e-commerce websites.
  • Proven experience developing, executing, and iterating SEO strategies that improve organic traffic, rankings, and revenue.
  • Experience in a client-facing SEO role, ideally with clients based in the United States.
  • Experience working in an agency environment or as a freelancer managing multiple SEO clients simultaneously.
  • Strong technical SEO knowledge, including site architecture, crawlability, indexation, Core Web Vitals, structured data, and e-commerce technical issues.
  • Hands-on experience with major e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, BigCommerce, or similar.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered search, LLM-driven discovery, Answer Engine Optimization, and Generative Engine Optimization.
  • Proficiency with SEO and analytics tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Google Analytics, and Google Search Console.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data, audits, and reports into actionable insights.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with confidence presenting strategies and recommendations to clients.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain structure and attention to detail.
  • Must be available during standard office hours in Slovenia and able to work full-time.
  • Must have a stable internet connection and a reliable laptop or PC suitable for professional SEO work.

Benefits

  • Fixed-rate monthly salary paid in USD.
  • Contractor status after signing the non-disclosure agreement.
  • Trial and adaptation period of the first two months paid at full rate.
  • Regular performance reviews every 9–12 months, with the first review after 3–6 months.
  • Role and workload re-evaluation after 6–12 months.
