Description

  • Partner with senior leaders, Recruiters, and People Business Partners to provide strategic guidance on offers, promotions, retention, and organizational design.
  • Lead annual compensation planning for the Product organization, ensuring alignment with enterprise principles, internal equity, and budget.
  • Advise on complex compensation scenarios, including counter-offers, equity negotiations, and specialized talent segments.
  • Build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with Product executive leadership and PBPs through proactive engagement and responsive support.
  • Contribute to the evolution of enterprise compensation philosophy, structures, and policies informed by client-group insights.
  • Conduct regular market analyses for Product roles and deliver data-driven recommendations to maintain competitiveness.
  • Develop deep expertise in Product compensation trends, competitive benchmarks, and talent market dynamics.
  • Coach and enable managers on compensation philosophy, decision-making frameworks, and having compensation conversations.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of compensation experience with significant depth in business partnering and consulting.
  • Experience supporting Product, Engineering, or Technology organizations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Deep expertise in compensation fundamentals, including market pricing, job evaluation, salary structures, and equity compensation.
  • Proven ability to influence and advise senior leaders and present comfortably to executives.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize data into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and credibility quickly.
  • High judgment and discretion when handling sensitive compensation matters.
  • Experience leading compensation planning cycles and working within enterprise compensation principles (preferred).

Benefits

  • Annual cash compensation range: $138,500—$221,600 USD.
  • Cash compensation components may include base salary, on-target commission (for eligible roles), and annual bonus targets.
  • Some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs).
  • Some roles may be eligible for overtime pay; individual offers are tailored to skills, experience, and qualifications.
  • Flexible remote/office work approach with required regional in-person onboarding for some teams and periodic in-person Product events (e.g., Product Group Summit).
