Description

  • Lead the design and development of enterprise data engineering solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Azure.
  • Design, build, and optimize scalable batch and real-time data pipelines.
  • Develop ETL/ELT, data ingestion, transformation, cleansing, and integration processes across multiple source systems.
  • Build Lakehouse, data warehouse, data models, and analytics-reporting solutions.
  • Implement solutions with Fabric Data Factory, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, OneLake, Azure Data Factory, ADLS Gen2, Synapse Analytics, and Azure SQL.
  • Optimize pipeline, query, storage, and processing performance.
  • Establish data quality, security, governance, lineage, and monitoring practices.
  • Collaborate with architects, BI developers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Lead technical discussions, mentor data engineers, and provide technical guidance.
  • Contribute to solution design, estimation, code reviews, troubleshooting, and production support.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in data engineering or data platform development.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, including Data Factory, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, OneLake, notebooks, and Dataflows Gen2.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure data services, including Azure Data Factory, ADLS Gen2, Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL, Databricks, and Azure Storage.
  • Experience with Azure Functions or Logic Apps, Azure Key Vault, monitoring, and security services.
  • Strong SQL and database development skills, with Python and/or PySpark experience.
  • Experience designing ETL/ELT processes, data pipelines, data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and Lakehouse architectures.
  • Knowledge of batch and real-time processing, APIs, and structured and unstructured data sources.
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD, DevOps practices, and troubleshooting complex data pipelines.
  • Proven technical leadership, stakeholder management, mentoring, and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field; Azure Data Engineer Associate certification, Power BI, Power Platform, Dynamics 365/Dataverse, Purview, Azure DevOps, event-driven architecture, or data modernization experience are preferred.
