Description

  • Educate prospective customers on how Houzz software improves growth, efficiency, and long-term business success.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting, qualifying, discovery calls, product demos, and closing deals.
  • Generate outbound leads and build relationships with potential customers in the home design and construction industry.
  • Use consultative selling to understand customer needs and position Houzz as a strategic solution.
  • Partner with SMB and mid-market businesses to assess fit and drive value.
  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly sales targets by acquiring new customers.
  • Use market research, competitive insights, and outreach strategies to identify new business opportunities.
  • Maintain and grow a personal book of business.
  • Approve discounts and structure deals independently to streamline the sales process.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Field Marketing teams to refine messaging, sales strategy, and local campaigns.
  • Provide feedback to leadership on tools, processes, and sales strategy and mentor fellow sales representatives.
  • Represent Houzz at trade shows, networking events, and in-person meetings and demos in the local market.

Requirements

  • 1.5 to 3 years of relevant full-cycle sales experience.
  • Outbound cold-calling experience.
  • Proven consultative selling and closing skills.
  • Ability to manage a pipeline that is primarily outbound, with about 80% of prospects sourced outbound plus inbound leads.
  • Strong desire and commitment to succeed in sales.
  • Positive outlook and strong accountability for successes and failures.
  • Sharp focus on goals and confidence in daily, weekly, and monthly activity-based selling.
  • Continuous learner who proactively identifies and closes skill gaps.
  • Software sales experience preferred.
  • Experience with multi-channel outbound prospecting preferred.
  • Direct industry experience with home remodeling, design, or renovation clients preferred.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience working a territory and targeted accounts preferred.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience with self-sourced outbound leads preferred.
  • 2 to 3 years of majority net-new closing experience preferred; SaaS experience is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced environments.
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new tools and technologies.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
  • Must be a permanent resident of AZ, CA, FL, GA, MD, MI, MO, NE, NJ, NC, OH, OK, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, or VA.

  • Annual base salary of $60,000 plus variable pay based on business metrics and individual performance.
