Description

  • Create and present engaging long-form and Shorts videos for French-speaking audiences.
  • Own the full local production workflow from ideation and scriptwriting through recording, publishing, and optimization.
  • Set local content goals and support content direction using regional insights, cultural nuances, and competitor research.
  • Track video performance, analyze retention and growth metrics, and implement data-driven improvements.
  • Work with freelance editors to guide visual execution and video polish.
  • Partner with scriptwriters and the broader YouTube team on content development and quarterly planning.
  • Handle uploads, metadata optimization, A/B thumbnail testing, and SOP maintenance.
  • Test new formats, hooks, and structures to evolve the channel beyond tutorial-focused content.
  • Contribute creative ideas that balance storytelling, audience engagement, and performance outcomes.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in content creation with proven on-camera work; YouTube content experience is preferred.
  • Native-level French language skills.
  • Strong acting and presentation skills, with comfort performing on camera.
  • Familiarity with YouTube retention strategies, content optimization, and platform performance factors.
  • Strong creative writing skills for structuring content, localizing scripts, and adapting messaging for French audiences.
  • Experience managing multiple projects independently with strong organization and deadline ownership.
  • Knowledge of video production fundamentals and visual storytelling principles.
  • Excellent cross-functional communication skills and experience collaborating with remote teams and freelancers.
  • Ability to use data and reasoning to advocate for creative ideas and refine content based on performance.
  • French market knowledge, including competitor monitoring and identifying local content opportunities.
  • Nice to have: experience with multicultural teams, the tech/web-building niche, AI-powered editing or writing tools, video strategy or analytics, or cross-platform content on TikTok and Instagram.
