Description

  • Own and define the overall design vision and standard for the product.
  • Lead the design of the entire platform and maintain the end-to-end quality bar.
  • Drive high-stakes design work from discovery and research through prototyping, visual design, and interaction design.
  • Own the design language, style guide, and component library, keeping the system coherent as the product scales.
  • Reduce design complexity and eliminate inconsistencies before they compound.
  • Build, direct, and lead a lean product design team.
  • Provide direct feedback and set high expectations to raise the standard of the team.
  • Partner closely with Product and Engineering leadership on what gets built and how it is designed.
  • Use research, analytics, experimentation, and customer feedback to inform design decisions and measure impact.

Requirements

  • Experience as a design leader at a product-led SaaS company within the last 5 years.
  • Proven ownership of design direction end to end, from discovery through shipped features.
  • Track record of raising the standard of other designers through feedback, hiring, and high expectations.
  • Still hands-on with design work within the last 3 years, rather than moving into pure management.
  • Strong research and briefing skills, not just visual polish.
  • Strong product thinking and the ability to operate as an equal partner with Product and Engineering leadership.
  • High agency, ownership, and comfort working in a lean, low-bureaucracy environment with modern AI tooling.
  • Comfort using Whimsical for mockups and Figma for design work.
  • Ability to work in a European or North American timezone up to the U.S. East Coast.
  • Short-term rental, travel, hospitality, or proptech experience is preferred.

Benefits

  • Total cash compensation of USD $171,000 to $218,900 depending on seniority and location.
  • Potential gross salary for U.S. employees of $157,619.92 to $201,771.94.
  • Equity compensation through RSUs with a current grant value of up to $119,400.
  • Eligibility for up to an additional $671,637 per year in Performance Share Units, subject to business performance targets.
  • Healthcare benefits for U.S. employees, including EPO, PPO, and HSA options.
  • 401(k) for U.S. employees.
  • 35 days off per year, including self-serve public holidays, plus parental leave.
