Description

  • Manage recruitment from intake and sourcing through interviews, selection, offers, and acceptance.
  • Consult with hiring managers on hiring criteria, job postings, expectations, and timelines.
  • Develop recruiting strategies based on role requirements, talent markets, industry practices, and business needs.
  • Create job advertisements and social media content to attract qualified candidates and support the employment brand.
  • Review applications, conduct screenings, and recommend qualified candidates.
  • Coordinate interviews and help develop interview questions, evaluation criteria, and selection materials.
  • Partner with hiring managers and Human Resources on compensation, incentives, start dates, background checks, and pre-employment processes.
  • Maintain communication with candidates and hiring managers while ensuring recruiting activities progress efficiently.
  • Ensure recruiting practices comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Represent Horace Mann at career fairs and recruiting events while promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and professional experience.
  • Experience managing full-cycle recruitment across multiple positions of varying complexity.
  • Strong consultation, relationship-management, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Active listening, persuasion, negotiation, and influencing abilities.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, meet tight deadlines, and remain composed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional presence and ability to build credibility with candidates, hiring managers, and senior leaders.
  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs and develop innovative talent attraction strategies.
  • Commitment to an excellent candidate experience and representing Horace Mann’s brand and culture.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, SHRM Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential, or similar certification preferred.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $66,500–$92,000, commensurate with experience and location.
