Description

  • Lead the design and optimization of AI-enabled business workflows across key operational functions.
  • Translate business problems into detailed functional and non-functional requirements for AI-enabled solutions.
  • Define workflow components such as inputs, outputs, decision logic, exception handling, escalation paths, and control mechanisms.
  • Establish human-plus-AI interaction models, including decision support, automation, confidence thresholds, review processes, and override rules.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Data Science, data, and technology teams to ensure requirements are complete, testable, and implementable.
  • Define and document data requirements, including sourcing, structure, lineage, and usage.
  • Assess data availability, completeness, and fitness for purpose, and identify data gaps and remediation actions.
  • Develop business cases by supporting value drivers, ROI assumptions, expected operational impact, risks, dependencies, and constraints.
  • Define and implement AI control plans with performance metrics, monitoring requirements, and escalation protocols.
  • Drive continuous optimization of AI workflows through threshold tuning, workflow redesign, and human-in-the-loop adjustments.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in process improvement, operations, product, or transformation roles.
  • Experience with AI, analytics, or automation initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of business processes; insurance experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of data structures, data quality, and workflow dependencies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Lean/Six Sigma experience is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Periodic travel may be required.
  • Ongoing education in AI, data, and process improvement methodologies is required.

Benefits

  • Remote work location.
  • Salary range of $105,200.00 to $147,950.00.
  • Salary is commensurate with experience and location.
  • Special rates and benefits for educators.
