Description

  • Drive technical strategy on Honeycomb’s largest and most complex deals in partnership with Strategic AEs and Sales Leadership.
  • Lead discovery, solution design, and executive conversations that connect the platform to engineering and business priorities.
  • Own the technical win by defining success criteria, guiding POCs, running competitive evaluations, and building stakeholder conviction through the sales cycle.
  • Advise engineering leaders and executives on AI-era observability, modern operations, and software delivery practices.
  • Translate complex customer environments into clear architectures and solution narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Use AI tools effectively while maintaining accuracy, reliability, and human oversight.
  • Instrument applications, unblock technical issues, and help customers validate outcomes in real environments.
  • Create scalable technical assets such as content, reusable demos, repeatable architectures, and thought leadership materials.
  • Deliver demos, workshops, and presentations that influence customer decisions.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product, Marketing, Field Engineering, and DevRel to improve go-to-market strategy and bring field feedback back into the company.
  • Mentor peers and model strong judgment, autonomy, and leadership potential.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of pre-sales, solution architecture, or customer-facing technical experience in B2B SaaS, ideally with strategic or enterprise accounts.
  • Proven success winning complex, high-value deals with multiple technical stakeholders and sophisticated buying committees.
  • Experience selling to developer, platform, SRE, or engineering-led organizations.
  • Executive presence with the ability to tailor communication from hands-on practitioners to the C-suite.
  • Strong solutioning and whiteboarding skills with the ability to simplify complexity in ambiguous, high-stakes situations.
  • Hands-on fluency with modern cloud environments, CSPs, containers, Kubernetes, distributed systems, and API-driven architectures.
  • Strong working knowledge of observability, distributed tracing, and OpenTelemetry.
  • Comfort navigating code and implementation details across languages and frameworks to support instrumentation and validation.
  • Experience owning complex POCs and evaluations, including success criteria, risk management, and disciplined execution.
  • Collaborative, cross-functional experience influencing Product, Engineering, and GTM teams.
  • A perspective on the future of observability, developer tooling, and AI-assisted workflows.
  • Mentorship mindset and commitment to creating reusable assets and helping others grow.
  • Familiarity with MEDDPICC or Command of the Message is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 20% for customer engagements, field events, and internal collaboration.
  • Cannot currently sponsor or support visa transfers; selected candidates must verify identity and eligibility to work.
