Description

  • Define and execute the frontend engineering strategy across SaaS products and the marketplace ecosystem.
  • Lead the evolution of the Vue-based frontend architecture with a focus on performance, maintainability, accessibility, and scalability.
  • Own frontend standards and platform investments, including design systems, UI components, frontend tooling, state management patterns, observability, and security practices.
  • Establish architectural boundaries between frontend systems, API gateway patterns, and microservices.
  • Reduce UI bugs, regressions, and inconsistent behavior through stronger quality and release processes.
  • Implement frontend quality systems such as component testing, integration testing, contract testing, CI enforcement, and automated regression checks.
  • Improve bundle optimization, lazy loading, render performance, and production monitoring of frontend errors and real-user performance.
  • Partner with DevOps and Platform Engineering to improve deployment safety, rollback readiness, logging, telemetry, and frontend SLIs/SLOs.
  • Build and develop frontend leaders, establish career ladders and performance expectations, and grow a culture of engineering excellence.
  • Partner with Product and Design to improve delivery velocity, UX consistency, collaboration processes, and governance across teams.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in frontend/web engineering, including 5+ years in engineering leadership at the Director or Senior Manager level.
  • Proven experience owning frontend architecture at scale across multiple products, teams, and high-frequency deployments.
  • Strong JavaScript and TypeScript expertise with deep understanding of modern frontend systems.
  • Experience with Vue.js, or similar frameworks such as React or Angular with transferable best practices.
  • Proven ability to build and mature design systems and shared component libraries.
  • Proven ability to build and mature frontend testing frameworks and release quality systems.
  • Proven ability to build and mature performance monitoring and frontend observability practices.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to influence independent teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience in regulated environments such as SOC2 or HIPAA, including secure UI patterns and privacy-first design (preferred).
  • Familiarity with microservices architectures, API contract strategies, CDNs, WAFs, edge caching, and modern CI/CD practices (preferred).
