Description

  • Conduct end-to-end QA testing of Tableau dashboards to ensure accuracy, usability, and performance.
  • Identify, document, and track visualization errors, data integration issues, and user-experience improvements across reports.
  • Compare and reconcile KPIs across dashboards to ensure consistency of results.
  • Review, optimize, and validate SQL queries used for dashboard data sourcing, including backend validation of results.
  • Support data quality checks and validation across relational and non-relational databases.
  • Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases for new and existing features; execute detailed test scenarios and maintain test records.
  • Work within an Agile framework to contribute to QA for user stories and sprints.
  • Maintain and improve documentation for dashboards, source transformations, and a searchable library of reports/dashboards.
  • Continuously improve QA processes, advocate best practices (including automation where appropriate), and generate/present QA reports (defect density, test coverage, data quality status) to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of QA experience specifically involving data visualization tools (Tableau) and relational databases.
  • Advanced Tableau skills.
  • Strong SQL knowledge with experience reviewing, debugging, and validating queries and query results.
  • Experience with data quality assurance in relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and non-relational databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB); Python and ETL experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets, including advanced functions and formulas.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical ability to interpret and analyze large datasets.
  • Experience working in Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and contributing to QA for user stories.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to new challenges.
  • Located in India (remote) and able to work the listed schedule (2:00 PM – 11:00 PM IST).
