Description

  • Build and maintain features as part of a multidisciplinary agile team.
  • Write code with proper testing and review code written by teammates.
  • Triage and fix bugs.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers, UX, designers, and the product manager to deliver polished features.
  • Use modern technologies and web standards to build solutions that scale to millions of users across devices and platforms.
  • Contribute to craft guilds by sharing knowledge, mentoring others, and proposing improvements to coding practices and architecture.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working with PHP using a major object-oriented framework.
  • 5+ years of experience working with MySQL.
  • Experience with modular or pluggable architecture.
  • Experience with REST API architecture.
  • Experience with a testing framework such as PHPUnit or similar.
  • Understanding of agile values and principles.
  • Knowledge of SOLID, KISS, and DRY design principles.
  • Experience with design patterns such as dependency injection, singleton, decorator, and chain-of-responsibility.
  • Experience dealing with race conditions across database, cache, and filesystem layers.
  • Experience addressing scalability issues.
  • Experience addressing security and vulnerability issues.
  • Experience with MySQL query optimization.
